      Delivered in 15 days (Tver). Bought on promo. There was no seal, so I opened it. No EMI filter (input) - promo?. Capacitor 33uF - to low for 60W. Incomplete output filter (no choke) - as result Vpp &gt; 100mV. Loaded with 40W lamp for 15 minutes - transformer ~70C, case ~50C. Does not whine with load.

      Very small size for 60 watts, the case is the same as for the 36 watts unit. On the one hand, this is good, but on the other ... The filling is significantly different from a conventional 60 W power supply. There is no input filter, the total capacity of the output capacitors is 3 times less. Input capacitor of the same capacity. Loaded with a maximum current of 3A - the voltage at the same time holds. Inside, it is structurally more like a 36 W power supply. I'm not sure that it will work normally at rated power. but on 3A should work without problems.

        I can advise you about how to choose a proper power supply for your LEDs. All LED strips have a noted power consumption per meter. Example 15 W per m. The minimum power supply you are using is a least higher than the total LEDs total consumption. In the case of our example, it is ( 10m x 15 W per m ) = 150 W, your power supply is too small for this purpose. If you have a 60W power supply then you can power a maximum of 2 - 3 m of this kind of LEDstrip. ( If you make the math 60 div 15=4, but you should never use 100% of your power supply as there is a power factor that limits you by 5-40%, but this is more specialized and if you need to learn more just google it.

        I had purchased the same item for the same use as yours. The total amount of Wattage required by my CCTV unit is 18 max. The PSU lasted three weeks with continuous use and well ventilated, as needed for this operation. I suggest that you get the higher wattage PSU... I am returning the faulty PSU but I would like to know why it blew since it is supposed to withstand a current of 2 A.! Hope this helps, Oscar

        you'll need to calculate the power requirements of your 2 strips. you mentioned ws2812. WS2812 specifies the protocol or language spoken to control the LEDs. those leds can be SMDs (luke your 5050's) or 12mm huge leds.. they could also have dedicated white. you need to go back to where you bought those leds to determine the max power requirements for each strip. sorry we couldn't be more specific. Another factor will be HOW you light the Leds. Each color (Red,Green,Blue) draws a slightly different current. if you choose white, ALL 3 LEDS get lit. so, if you lit all 90 LEDs at the same time (with RGB leds), this would be your max draw scenario. it can add up. Recent strips may also have. DEDICATED WHITE IN ADDITION to the RGB leds which would really draw a lot of power full-on.

        Mine hasn't arrived yet but switched mode PSU's do generate RF noise and this may be an issue. There may also be an issue for a CB which is designed for use in a vehicle as they tend to produce 14+V with the engine running. 12V may be on the low end for that. However any competently designed transceiver should happily cope with this. That said, most cars can produce a lot of RF noise as well so if it can cope with this it should be fine. This is a component designed to be inside some sort of case, and is not something I'd use without a case when there were children or pets around.
