I have only briefly tested it, but it gives me a good first impression ... I watched videos on a very similar device, the SA-Ultra and while someone displayed the differences of the way more expensive original and the clone that is also more expensive, the SA5 was at least equal if not better than the original, regarding the dynamic and generators signal clarity, which is needed for the analyzer to work properly as well. I checked the harmonics of some handheld radios and it was very clear which one I will use for transmission and which one is a disaster and not be never be used in order not to cause disturbance with other radio services. I hope the rotating encoder will last, it comes in handy when finding the exact peaks or using the built in AM demodulator. Many features I haven't tested in detail yet, but it gives me a very positive first impression.
What I am not so happy about is the fact that there is no link to a manufacturer to download the small print manual as a PDF, download possible firmware updates or download a PC app to use all features on a big screen. The TinySA PC software only works with very limited functionality. I hope to see that in the future, else I am very impressed for that price.
For some people the delivery time seems significant when buying something ... it actually came here before the projected time frame ... perfect! That is the clear difference between Banggood and other Chinese platforms ... this is a very reliable source that I will always prefer unless they don't have what I want. Too often other platforms release a product earlier and might be slightly cheaper in retrospect but then they never deliver, leaving you waiting for months and the only "good" thing is if you used a certain payment service you will always get your money back.
Bottom line I totally recommend this compact analyzer via Banggood and hope they will release a link to the manual as PDF and a fully functioning PC software.
