        Hello yes I do think these will fit your Honda Civics' front seat as these are a universal fit. Yes the headrest will be open on the sides. The mats are just that a nice looking flat cover mat for the front seats. They are held in place by elastic bands that fit around and under the seat frame.

        Hello VirginaJim, I installed my front seat covers in a 2018 Toyota Rav4 and also see a little twisting of the cover. I supposes since they are designed to just lay on top of the OEM seat covers there is going to be a little movement, but only when exiting the vehicle. I too did not receive installation instruction but to install slip the elastic bands over the seat and push the plastic tube through the area where the seat's back- rest and seat meet.. You could get creative and try Velcro strips for extra holding power but so far I have not found the need.

        Q: I agree with another customer, my seat cover, purchased for my Nissan Versa hatchback, and mounted in the front driver's side is very attractive, with good stitching, and fits my seat well, but whenever I get out of this seat, it rotates on the seat, making it look funny. I know there are odd circular plastic devices that could act as anchor points, but I can't figure out the best way to use them. Why cant the supplier include photos or instructions as a link on this add for us to get some guidance? There was no instruction included with these seats. Thanks. - Jim
